100WC Week#29

The torn and ragged map nearly flew out of my hands because of the strong Pacific sea winds. My crew was so tired, barely getting any sleep in the last 48 hours and the rain was absolutely bucketing. You could not see a thing. We were traveling across the pacific so we could head towards Mexico. We had to travel past South Africa and then go round the top of Australia and now we are traveling to east Mexico. And that’s were we found the X. WE FOUND TREASURE!!! one of the crew said. So that means X marks the spot.

eSmart Digital licence reflection

e Smart is a programme that gives kids a better understanding of on-line safety and how to keep private thing secure but also to still have fun on the web. These are some facts about some of the awesome things e Smart can produce. After some time you can gain an e Smart licence.

To get your e Smart licence they will put you to the test (literally), they will give you tests to complete. All of the tests (for you to pass) you must get 80% or over. So lets start learning about e Smart.

Module 1- Digital Devices- 3 Facts: The digital devices module is about how to safely use latest technology. Also how to be safe on-line and what and what not to do on-line.

3 Facts:

1.) Putting a code on your phone is great to do. These codes can be a four digit number code, a motion code or a keyboard code which is where you can type in a word to keep your device secure. It is good to have a code on your device because if you lose it people can not hack in and find out all the personal things about you.

2.) Say you are walking around in a shopping centre and you see and advertisement of an app that looks like you really want. So you open up your phone and you see a list of networks (assessable WiFi) and you see one that is unsecured. Should you click on it? No, because then you can assess there personal details and if you do get into that situation you will most likely be caught and fined.

3.) If your computer gets hot that dose not mean that it has a virus in it. It means that you have been working on your computer for a long time. If a virus dose get into your computer you should know because every time you get a new computer you should really get a virus alarm. This keeps you safe.

2 Understandings:

1.) I now know why networks are secure. It is so that people can not assess your private information and so people can not use up your gigs.

2.) I also understand when going into open websites like Facebook people can easily get hold of details and even money.

1 Question: Why do you need to update your software as frequently as you can

100 WC Week#25

Once long ago in a land called jumundajurii there was a green horse who was a firefighter. He thought he was the best at everything but this day was going to be a challenge for him. It all started in the station just and ordinary day until the phone call came in that there was rabbit stuck in a drain when he went fishing in the narrow stream. The green horse was reported to save the rabbit. After a while the green horse was at the stream and dived in to save the rabbit. But the horse remembered he couldn’t swim fast. So he swam carfully down the stream and saved the rabbit.

Cricket Captain Application

I strongly believe that I would be a great cricket captain.

My first argument to why I would be a great cricket captain is that I am fair. Even though I love to win sports which would mean picking the best and the sportiest people. I make sure that everybody even if they are not sporty are in the even amount of games as everybody else. For example, if an unsporty kid is standing on the sidelines waiting to play a game, I will most of the time switch myself for them so they can have fun and play in the game. This is just one of the many reasons why I would be a great house captain.

Secondly is that I’m a very organised person and make sure that everything works well towards the game. Being organised can sometimes also link to being fair. Being organised can lead you to being a great role model and a leader for other people to look up to. Also, another way I am organised is that I know where everyone needs to be and at what time. My evidence is that last year I did a very good job helping out the cricket captains. This was just another reason why I will be a great cricket captain.

My third and final argument is that I know the rules of cricket. This helps because I know all of the positions on the cricket filed, and I can put people into positions I know they will like and do well in. Also I know when it is time for people on my team to bat and bowl. This can lead to our team winning and having a fun and enjoyable time.

So thies were the best reasons of why I would be a great cricket captain towards my team mates and act as a great leader. I am definitely up for the task.

Do you think I should be cricket captain?

B.T.N Bark Canoes

I will be going tell interesting facts about bark canoes and about them being made and their culture.

3 Facts: The Kaurna people from South Australia made absolutely everything out of the plants around them.

After white settlement fewer canoes were made and now the only place to see them are in museums.

After canoes are made they covered them in ochre to protect the trees from bugs.

2 Understandings: I understand how they made the bark canoes because they cut the tree to a certain depth so they don’t hurt or kill the tree.

I understand why Aborigines stopped making boats when the white people came because they were to scared they were going to be killed if they were seen or heard making the canoe.

1 Question: Why did they decide to create a bark canoe now days?
